Job summary

Pampa Regional Medical Center in Pampa, TX, seeks a Radiologic Technologist I for diagnostic radiology with cross-training in CT. The role emphasizes performing X-ray procedures, ensuring image quality, and patient safety, with opportunities to learn CT modalities.

The position is full-time, with day shifts and 8-hour blocks. The ideal candidate will hold required state licensure and ARRT-R certification, have current BCLS, and at least one year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-R is required.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• Proficient computer skills.
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Diagnostic Radiographic or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech.
• Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
• Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
