Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to operate X-Ray and fluoroscopic equipment for patients across all ages. The role requires ARRT registration, BLS certification, and the ability to work autonomously in a hospital setting.

Prior diagnostic radiology experience is preferred. Additional life support credentials or specialized certifications are beneficial. This on-site position entails rotating weekends and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Must hold certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Prior experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.
• Additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates X-Ray and fluoroscopic equipment to produce routine radiographs for patients across age groups.
• Performs intravenous, subdural, and arterial radiographic studies as required.
• Works in hospital areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision, with emphasis on patient safety.

Responsibilities

Operates X-Ray and fluoroscopic equipment to produce routine radiographs of designated portions of the human body for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This position is characterized by the ability to perform intravenous, subdural, and arterial radiographic studies and work in hospital areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision. The Registered Radiologic Technologist/Screen Atlanta works with a female population over thirty five (35) years of age.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Must hold certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

Prior experience in diagnostic radiology.

Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
