Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic imaging in an acute care setting. You will position patients, operate radiography equipment, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiography program, CT radiographer licensure in Connecticut, ARRT registration, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license required.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (obtained within 120 days of graduation for new graduates).

Responsibilities

• Performs Radiologic examinations on identified patients according to department procedures and protocols by positioning patients and operating radiographic equipment.
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by using shielding devices and appropriate exposure factors.
• Inputs procedural information into EMR, RIS and PACS to capture exams, charges, and clinical data.
• Obtains relevant patient information (labs, medications) to ensure exam rationale aligns with request.
• Performs additional related duties as required.
