Hartford Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic imaging in an acute care setting. The role involves patient positioning, operating radiographic equipment, and ensuring high-quality images while maintaining safety protocols.

Responsibilities include fluoroscopic procedures, OR/C-arm use, data entry into EMR/RIS/PACS, and coordinating exam information with clinical teams. A CT radiography environment is implied within a leading teaching hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (obtained within 120 days of graduation for new graduates).
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsabilités

• Performs Radiologic examinations on identified patients according to department procedures and protocols by positioning patients and operating radiographic equipment to produce high quality images.
• Performs fluoroscopic procedures as needed; works in the OR and operates C-arm.
• Minimizes radiation exposure by using shielding, low-dose techniques, and radiation safety standards.
• Inputs procedural information into EMR, RIS and PACS to capture exams, charges, and clinical data.
• Gathers relevant patient information (labs, meds) to ensure exam justification and accuracy.
• Performs related duties as required.
