Job summary

The Radiologic Technologist at The Hospital of Central Connecticut performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures across ambulatory and acute settings, positioning patients and operating X-ray equipment to support diagnosis and treatment. The role includes patient care during imaging exams and adherence to safety standards.

We offer on-site training, opportunities for modality cross-training, and a supportive environment within a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State licensure as a Connecticut Radiographer.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in ambulatory or inpatient settings by positioning patients, operating X-ray equipment, and providing patient care during imaging exams.
• Assist in imaging workflows and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Shift Detail: Every Monday, Tuesday, Friday 11p-3a. Every other Thursday 11p-3a. Every other Weekend 4p-3a. Holiday and on-call rotations.

Position Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures including but not limited to ambulatory or acute settings by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment and providing patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
