Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is actively seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Imaging Services team at Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, TX. This full-time opportunity involves performing diagnostic radiography (X-ray) procedures, ensuring image quality and patient safety, and maintaining records in PACS/EMR systems.

The role requires ARRT (R) radiography certification, TX MRT license, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) radiography certification
• Texas MRT license required
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology (X-ray) procedures per physician orders and imaging protocols.
• Maintain imaging productivity with excellent image quality and patient safety.
• Monitor and manage radiation dose reference levels and take action when thresholds are exceeded.
• Utilize AIDET communication practices for positive patient experiences.
• Prepare and position patients with proper immobilization and exposure techniques.
• Follow radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique standards.
• Maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms to meet quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Verify patient orders, history, pregnancy screening, and consent documentation.
• Maintain records in PACS and EMR systems.
• Assist with inventory management and department workflow improvements.
