Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health – Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) to join the Imaging Services team. This full-time role involves performing diagnostic radiology procedures, maintaining image quality, and ensuring patient safety in a high-volume hospital setting.

You will work under physician orders, follow radiation safety standards, and collaborate with engineers and staff to optimize equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Less than one year of experience required.
  • ARRT (R) – Radiography required.
  • Texas Medical Board (MRT) License required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology (X-ray) procedures following physician orders and imaging protocols.
  • Maintain imaging productivity while ensuring excellent image quality and patient safety.
  • Monitor and manage radiation dose reference levels and take appropriate action when thresholds are exceeded.
  • Utilize AIDET communication practices to ensure positive patient experiences.
  • Prepare and position patients using proper immobilization devices and exposure techniques.
  • Follow strict radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique standards.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Verify patient orders, history, pregnancy screening, and consent documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records in PACS and EMR systems.
  • Assist with inventory management and department workflow improvements.

Schedule: Full-Time Mon-Fri 12:30p-9:00p
