Virtua seeks a licensed Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures following ALARA guidelines and established protocols. The role requires adherence to safety standards, accurate documentation, and proficient operation of RIS/PACS systems.

The position supports Virtua’s mission and values. Requires ARRT registration or eligibility, NJDEP licensure, and CPR preferred. On-site, full-time schedule with varied shifts and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures for all patient populations per radiologist protocols, ensuring highest diagnostic image quality.

• Operates radiographic equipment and computer systems (RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW).
• Provides instruction and training to new staff or students in radiologic techniques.

New to Virtua hires are eligible for sign on bonus of $5,000 * One-year commitment *

Work Schedule:

• Every 3rd weekend.
• When not weekend rotation - three 12's (8:30a-9p).
• When weekend rotation - two 12's (8:30a-9p), one 4-hour (8:30a-12:30p), Sat & Sun (8:30a-5p).
• Minimum of two holidays per year (1 winter & 1 summer).

Summary:

A licensed practitioner responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic purposes.

Performs a wide variety of radiologic procedures in accordance with established and approved protocols and standards.

Operates all radiographic equipment in a safe and responsible manner following appropriate ALARA guidelines.

Supports the Virtua Mission and Vision statement and upholds the Virtua Values and STAR behaviors. Adheres to all Virtua policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs radiologic procedures for all patient populations according to protocols established by the radiologist, while applying principals of radiation safety and protection at all times. Evaluates images with goal of producing radiographic images of the highest diagnostic quality.
• Consistently provides thorough and accurate documentation. Obtains pertinent medical information prior to the procedure, reviews and verifies physicians' orders. Documents correct side, LMP etc.
• Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of all radiographic equipment and computer systems such as RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW workstation and other hospital based computer or PC systems.
• Provides instruction to and assists in training new staff or student radiologic technologists.

Required Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.)
• NJDEP licensure required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Hourly Rate: $32.19 - $50.03

The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
