Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Internal candidates require 1 year of experience; external candidates require 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in inpatient or outpatient settings as directed by the radiologist.
• Identify patient with two identifiers and document procedure details.
• Ensure imaging is transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system and properly documented.
• Provide courteous patient care and respond to questions during and after procedures.

Key Position Details:

This position will be part of the Radiologic Technologist float pool! In this role, your home base will be at Richfield Clinic, while providing coverage for imaging services, which includes additional sites.

• .8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period)
• 8- and 12-hour day/evening shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday-Friday
• No weekends
• Mileage reimbursement

Job Description:

Performs technical and diagnostic imaging functions in an inpatient or outpatient setting directed by the radiologist. Provides timely and quality services to patients. Follows imaging department policies and protocols to maintain a safe, efficient, and economical environment. Interacts with patients to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure. Provides care and diagnostic services to patients across multiple sites.
Principle Responsibilities

• Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  • Identifies patient with two identifiers.
  • Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure.
  • Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs.
  • Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area.
• Performs procedures with high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintains work knowledge and competence.
  • Gathers all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images.
  • Verifies all imaging has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system.
• Provides accurate clerical function
  • Uses Excellian (electronic medical record).
  • Understands the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System.
  • Ensures all documentation is complete post procedure.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Internal candidates - 1 year experience
• External candidates - 3 years experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with two or more equipment manufacturers (Siemen’s, Philips, Fuji, Carestream)

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required must be registered upon hire
• Must meet one of the BLS requirements below:
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
• Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Physical Demands

• Medium Work*:
• Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Flat Rate: $48.00 per hour

*This position is paid on a standard non-negotiable hourly rate. Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
