Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiologic Technologist at the Southdale Hospital imaging department in Edina, MN. This casual, as-needed position covers days, evenings, overnights and weekends, with shift differentials for late and overnight hours.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology Tech credential required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient care.
• Performs examinations.
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional.
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness.
• Verifies patient identification and documentation.
• Educates patients about pertinent information during all aspects of the exam.
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through proper positioning and technique.
• Ensures patient data integrity.
• Completes computer functions including scheduling, billing and image transfers.
• Marks images accurately and archives data.
• Participates as an active team member.
• Mentors new employees and students.
