Job summary

American Family Care in Norwood is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to aid physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease.

You will assist with patient registration and medical assisting tasks, while maintaining radiation safety and quality control. The role combines clinical procedures with patient-friendly reception duties at AFC centers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred; state licensing required.
• Medical Assistant certification/registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT/Paramedic acceptable in some states.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures with compassion.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process images and prepare for physician reading.
• Operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment per policies.
• Assist with prescribed patient treatments as needed.
• Maintain forms, records, logs, and reports.
