Job summary

Henry Community Health in New Castle, IN, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring patient safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, applying lead shields, adjusting exposure controls, preparing reports, and maintaining equipment; ARRT certification and Indiana licensure required, with BLS, and preferred 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Requires deep understanding of anatomy, physiology and physics; radiation safety and radiographic exposure.
• Indiana licensure as a Diagnostic Xray Machine Operator and ARRT board certified.
• Maintains licensure/registration and accrues CEU points annually (Class A).
• Graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist program and ARRT board certification; BLS required.
• Prefer at least two years Radiologic Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic exams under supervision.
• Position patients under radiology machines and adjust immobilization devices.
• Affix lead shields to protect non-target areas and adjust exposure length and intensity.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of services rendered.
• Make minor equipment adjustments and report major issues to Imaging Director.
