Job summary

UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care Radiologic Technologist position requires performing diagnostic radiographs, proper patient positioning, and safe imaging within a busy urgent care setting.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma and be a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program. ARRT registration, state licensure where required, and BLS are essential. Clinically oriented applicants with related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required.
• BLS certification at hire time.
• ARRT registration at time of hire.
• State licensure as Radiologic Technologist required where applicable.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray services for patients and ensure proper imaging.
• Position patients and equipment correctly to obtain quality images.
• Maintain medical records and document procedures.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Conduct point of care testing as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG).
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Provide clear explanations to patients about procedures.
