Job summary

Mount Sinai West is seeking a Radiological Technologist for a part-time schedule (Sun 8a-12a and Mon 4p-12a). You will perform radiographic examinations, position patients, educate patients on procedures, and ensure proper labeling and timely image transmission to PACS, while upholding radiation safety and infection control standards.

The role requires an Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology, NY licensure (or temporary permit), and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in radiologic technology.
• Graduate of accredited radiology program.
• Licensed radiologic technologist in NY or eligible for licensure.
• Temporary permit valid for up to 180 days during licensure process.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine radiographic examinations per protocol.
• Position patients and apply clinical judgment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Educate patients about procedures and instructions.
• Label images per SOP and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
• Maintain infection control and radiology room cleanliness.
• Assist physicians and supervise students as needed.
• Document patient tracking in IDX and schedule exams in RIS.
• Ensure images are completed in IDX promptly.
