Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed radiologic technologist in Mississippi; BLS required post-hire within 90 days.
• ARRT registration required post-hire within six months.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation physics and protection; imaging principles.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures to produce images of internal organs and bones.
• Explains procedures to patients, records medical history, sets equipment, and positions patient for optimal imaging.
• Reviews images for quality and forwards for interpretation; maintains patient documentation.
• Maintains supplies and clean work area; reports equipment malfunctions.
• Ensures patient safety and provides comfort; supports infection control and radiation safety practices.
