Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for x-ray technicians with current licensure in Mississippi.
• Minimum of 2 years experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours a day; includes walking, stooping, and bending.
• Must be able to move equipment and transfer patients.
• Proficiency of electronic records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and assists in positioning.
• Operates radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Uses radiation safety measures and helps maintain equipment.
• Retrieves radiologic orders and inputs data into electronic records.
