Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging Department in a PRN, varied shifts role. You will prep rooms, position patients, and capture diagnostic images that guide clinical decisions while collaborating with nurses and physicians.

The position requires pediatric comfort, a patient-focused approach, and compliance with health and education requirements. Weekend and call rotation participation is required.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or equivalent in radiologic technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - DOH required or ARRT CI certification.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification is required or ARRT.
• ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CI) required or ARRT.
• RCIS - Cardiovascular preferred for specialty work.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic procedures.
• Promote goodwill with co-workers and patients; maintain a positive, comforting demeanor.
• Report to the Lead Technologist on shift.
• Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Work comfortably with pediatric patients.
• Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed.

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Radiology Technologist to our Diagnostic Imaging Department at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN, varied shifts opportunity. Participation in weekend and call rotation required.

As a Radiology Technologist, your day will consist of prepping rooms and positioning patients to capture clear diagnostic images that guide clinical decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with nurses and physicians, operate advanced imaging equipment, and ensure every patient receives safe, accurate, and compassionate care.

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities:

• Performing high-quality radiographic procedures
• Promoting goodwill amongst co-workers and with other departments, and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
• Reporting to the Lead Technologist on shift
• Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
• Comfortable with Pediatrics
• Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, by state and federal regulations, or Lawful institutional policy

Experience Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience preferred
• Radiology/Imaging Experience preferred
• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Vocational School
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - DOH Required Or
• Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography, ARRT (CI) Required Or
• Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT – ARRT Or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI – Cardiovascular Preferred
