Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a radiologist. You will operate imaging equipment, follow protocols, and uphold customer service standards while ensuring patient safety.

The role requires ARRT certification and seeks candidates with current radiology experience. Employment is in a hospital network across eastern Wisconsin with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • One year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.
  • ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
  • 1–2 years of college coursework in a healthcare field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients and performs radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology.
  • Operates imaging equipment following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Maintains customer service standards and communicates effectively with patients and staff.
  • Performs ancillary services and supports patient care areas as needed.

Schedule

1st shift, start times ranging from 0645-0930, 1 day off every 2 weeks.

Holidays: No scheduled worked holidays. 1 holiday call per calendar year, dependent on seniority.

Weekends: No scheduled weekends

On call: 2 call dates/month once trained

Job Summary

At the direction of a radiologist or other providers, prepares patients and performs radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology and operates imaging equipment. Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives. Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff. Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary. Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

One year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION

Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. An additional 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred but not required.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION

Self-motivated; ability to organize and prioritize well; ability to remain flexible and to reorganize priorities when emergencies arise.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION

ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
