Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a full-time day shift (32 hours per week). A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are eligible.

The Rad Tech will perform radiologic procedures, protect patients with proper shielding, and assist in teaching radiography students while delivering high-quality care in fluoroscopy, trauma, ED and OR settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography.
• ARRT licensure within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• One year of combined classroom and clinical radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment across departments with proper shielding and positioning.
• Assist in teaching radiography students on radiography principles.
• Communicate with patients to obtain history and explain procedures.
• Adhere to department protocols to optimize examinations.
• Recognize and address emergent issues to ensure patient safety.
