Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center –Hillcrest in Waco, TX seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology procedures supervised by a Radiologist, following established protocols to diagnose disease and injury.

The role emphasizes radiation safety, patient communication using AIDET, equipment preparation, documentation, and adherence to safety policies. Rotation includes full-time shifts, weekend call, and maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
• Texas licensure or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
• Maintains imaging records and patient documentation.
• Adheres to radiation safety, infection-control, and sterile technique policies.
• Communicates with patients and families using AIDET to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Prepares patient and equipment, positions patient, and sets exposure factors.
• Ensures department safety and readiness of supplies and equipment.
