Department: Diagnostic
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing various radiologic, fluoroscopic, and diagnostic examinations. While providing patient care and customer service, the technologist must perform and complete the following: requisition evaluation, patient assessment, room preparation, patient management, equipment operation, technique selection, positioning skills, radiation safety, image processing, and image evaluation.

Desired Skills & Knowledge:
DEXa and Carm experience highly preferred.
Basic knowledge of radiologic equipment and human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology; positioning patient and appropriate radiology techniques. Knowledge of radiation physics, radiation safety, standard precautions, rules and regulations, government regulatory requirements and accrediting standards.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand simple sentences in English; follow oral and written instructions precisely; get along well with others; and demonstrate an attitude of respect and professionalism.
A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
A current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer.
E mployees must be physically able to perform, efficiently and effectively, the essential duties of the position which typically require the ability to read without strain printed material the size of typewritten characters, glasses permitted, and the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, or the ability to compensate satisfactorily.
The position may work on rotating shifts, with work on weekends and holidays.
