Summary of Duties
The qualified Radiologic Technologist / CT Technician will perform general and specialized imaging procedures, including computed tomography (CT) scans, in an outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in diagnostic imaging techniques and possess strong patient care abilities.
Working Hours:
(This position could be between one (1) to three (3) people covering the different shifts)
- Weekend coverage extends from Saturday at 7:00am until Sunday at 7:00pm - no more than 2000 hours per year.
- Holidays include the 11 federally recognized holidays (24-hour coverage) no more than 265 hours per year.
- Short term notice fill-in will be as needed with a minimum of four hours advanced noticed (Fill-in hours will be as needed with over a four-hour advanced notice.) no more than 1200 hours per year.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Certification through ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- CT experience required, with CT certification preferred (or actively working toward certification).
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills related to imaging technology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare setting.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct general imaging exams such as chest, head, abdominal, spine, and extremities.
- Perform CT scans with and without contrast for various anatomical regions.
- Independently execute standard examinations, prioritizing critical and emergency procedures.
- Maintain patient records and image files, ensuring proper documentation and indexing.
- Operate fixed and portable radiography units, as well as CT scanners.
- Conduct EKG exams as required.
- Apply the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle in all imaging procedures.
- Perform quality control checks on radiography units, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs.
- Ensure adherence to radiology technical procedures, radiation safety, and infection control protocols.
- Participate in radiology proficiency testing, quality assurance programs, and clinic-wide continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain radiology department cleanliness and organization.
- Implement infection control practices per accreditation standards and policies.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriate to ensure patient and personnel safety.
- Demonstrate a professional knowledge of medical terminology and radiology concepts.
- Interpret and evaluate imaging results to identify abnormalities, repeat exams if necessary, and report concerns.
- Provide age-specific care, ensuring procedures are tailored to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Deliver services in a professional and respectful manner when interacting with patients and colleagues.
- Educate and guide patients through imaging procedures, ensuring a comforting and informative experience.
