Under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist/Physician, the technologist prepares patients for procedures, verifies orders and patient history to ensure appropriateness of exam/procedure. Technologist performs diagnostic procedures including complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Technologist performs diagnostic procedures including complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is intimately familiar with sterile procedures including preparation and maintaining a sterile field during procedures, adheres to standard precautions at all times, participates as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary care delivery team consisting of interventional radiologists, physician assistants, nurses, and technologists, and supports ambulatory care services.

What You Will Do As a Radiology Technologist

  • Prioritizes work to achieve efficient patient outcomes
  • Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedure
  • Evaluates imaging results for diagnostic quality
  • Delivers care as delegated by the RN to assigned patient populations or individual patient
  • Demonstrates the ability to deliver care or service while adjusting approaches to reflect the developmental level of population served

What You Will Need

  • Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree in Radiation Technology
  • Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology
  • 2-3 yeasr months of Radiology experience
  • Understanding of current Minnesota Department of Health Regulations

Clinic Description: Clinics and Surgery Center

Location: 909 Fulton St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455

Hours: 40 hours per week, 1.0 FTE
