Job summary

Mille Lacs Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist to support the Milaca Clinic and Onamia Hospital. You will perform general x-rays, ensure high-quality images, and document all exams in the EMR while following physician directions.

Responsibilities include proper patient positioning, ALARA adherence, and timely communication with radiologists. A MN ARRT license and BLS certification are required, with hospital radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT recognized two-year technical program with certificate or equivalent.
• Current Radiology license in MN by ARRT and BLS certification are required.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs general x-ray and portables.
• Positions patients properly to obtain diagnostic, high quality images.
• Adheres to ALARA principles.
• Follows physician instructions, prepares radiography equipment, and obtains optimal images.
• Documents in EMR for every exam performed.
• Communicates exam details with radiologist, including off-site reads.
• Submits studies to after-hours service with necessary information.
• Completes charges for exams performed.
• Transfers DICOM images as requested.
• Notifies manager of equipment issues and keeps scheduling informed.
• Develops radiologic competencies and learns new modalities.
