Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with patient care responsibilities across assignments. You may assist with reception, phlebotomy, and vital signs while documenting clinical history for radiologists and providers.

The role requires ARRT registration, Wisconsin or Illinois licensure where applicable, and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days. Excellent patient safety practices and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography registration is required.
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois.
  • WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures.
  • May also perform patient reception, phlebotomy/specimen collection duties, rooming patients, and taking vital signs.
  • Corroborates patient’s clinical history with procedure and documents for radiologist/provider.
  • Prepares and positions patient for procedures and provides instructions to obtain desired results.
  • Operates imaging equipment and selects exposure factors to successfully perform procedures.
  • Positions patient to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
  • Maintains patient safety and uses radiation protection principles.
  • Reviews images for proper data, quality, and identification; submits to PACS.
  • Provides instruction for radiography students and partners.

Job description
