Job summary

University of California, San Francisco is seeking an ARRT-certified radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in assigned areas with California licensure. The role includes submitting high-quality images to PACS and participating in department-wide performance improvement activities.

The technician will provide excellent patient service, ensure correct patient identification, adhere to infection control and radiation policies, and maintain continuing education credits.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JCERT accredited radiology technology training program.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
  • Must be willing to assist at any of the UCSF Medical Center Locations.
  • Ability to perform job duties in a safe, reliable, responsible and timely fashion.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under any workload and/or patient volume.
  • Knowledge of related Radiology systems (list few examples).
  • Ability to correctly prioritize and complete tasks, needing little or no supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and effective use of time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic procedures in assigned areas at a safe and technical level.
  • Submit high-quality images to PACS.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities in the department.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service to patients.
  • Correctly identify patients for the procedures performed and their respective images.
  • Follow Infection Control policies, radiation policies and good body mechanics.
  • Maintain appropriate continuing education credits.
