Job summary

Optum is seeking an on-site team member to assist with patient flow, screening and imaging room preparation at the Madison and Northgate clinics. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and help with follow-up scheduling and record transfers.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, reliable attendance, and teamwork in a fast-paced imaging environment. Overtime may be required; experience with Windows-based systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 1+ years of experience working with customers
• Experience with computers and Windows based programs
• It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
• Reliable transportation - shifts will cover Madison and Northgate clinics

Responsibilities

• Assists technical staff with patient flow and schedule management.
• Greets patients, completes exam pre-screening and rooms / changes patients for imaging exams
• Answers patient questions within scope
• Helps prepare exam room for patients, gets patients on and off exam table and escorts them back to their dressing room
• Chaperones Ultrasound exams as needed
• Provides scheduling support as needed for follow up exams and walk-up patients
• Responsible for release of imaging records, CD burning, forms processing and electronic transfer of images and / OR reports.
• Provides general administrative support as needed to the technologists and radiologist on site
• All staff members are to promote a positive and productive work environment by acting maturely and responsibly, satisfactorily performing his or her job responsibilities and conducting themselves in a professional, courteous and respectful manner toward fellow employees, physicians and patients
• Performs all duties in a manner which promotes and supports the core values of Optum Care WA
• Complies with corporate compliance program and policy
• Ensures confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA guidelines
• Attends training to meet requirements of the job position and as needed or mandated by Optum policies, Div. of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH), OSHA, L&I and other state/federal regulations

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
