Job summary

Advocate Health, at Sherman Hospital in Radiology, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a full-time, mid/2nd shift role. You will operate X-ray equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain infection control while delivering compassionate patient care.

The position requires ARRT certification or eligibility, IEMA accreditation, and a strong commitment to ALARA principles. Weekend rotations and on-call duties are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification or certificate eligible; must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by a physician.
• Ensure proper technical parameters and quality of studies.
• Adhere to infection prevention and ALARA principles.
• Identify patient and document exams accurately.
• Maintain radiographic quality and proper RIS/HIS function.
