The Department of Radiology at UHealth – SoLé Mia offers an exciting opportunity for a full-time Radiologic Technologist 2.

The Radiologic Technologist 2 performs complex procedures using radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure. They assist with operations within the department, oversee designated areas, and demonstrate independent judgment and initiative.

Core Job Functions

• Assist Radiologists and PhDs in developing new protocols and imaging techniques specific to the facility.
• Help with education and training of new physicians.
• Monitor daily charging of procedures and supplies for accuracy.
• Demonstrate radiologic equipment during site visits for physicians and administrators.
• Review radiologic orders for completeness and appropriateness, notifying supervisors or physicians of discrepancies.
• Establish rapport with patients to understand service requirements and verify patient identity.
• Operate radiologic scanners and related equipment following safety protocols under supervision.
• Integrate diagnostic results and patient history to adapt exams as needed.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety during procedures.
• Assist with imaging procedures, IV insertions, and contrast injections, if applicable.
• Evaluate scans for quality, organize images, and label appropriately.
• Train and orient new technologists and students.
• Provide age-specific and developmental care to patients.
• Support patient care during procedures, including life support and emergency response as needed.
