Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations per physician orders.
• Properly position patients to obtain high-quality images.
• Verify patient identity and requested examinations before imaging.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and radiation safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each examination.
• Review images for quality before submission.
• Transmit studies through imaging/DICOM system for radiologist interpretation.
• Keep the imaging area clean and organized.
• Follow HIPAA and infection-control procedures.
• Communicate with staff regarding completed studies or issues.

Position Summary

As a PRN Radiologic Technologist, you will play a key role in performing diagnostic X-ray examinations and ensuring high-quality imaging for physician interpretation. This part-time, PRN position offers approximately 2-3 shifts per week, with each shift lasting about 5 hours. Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as per physician and diagnostic orders.
• Properly position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Verify patient identity and requested examinations before imaging.
• Adhere to radiation safety and ALARA principles at all times.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each examination.
• Review images for proper positioning and technical quality before submission.
• Transmit completed studies through the designated imaging/DICOM system for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure the X-ray equipment and imaging area are clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow HHDL policies, HIPAA requirements, infection-control procedures, and applicable radiation-safety regulations.
• Communicate promptly with staff regarding completed studies, technical issues, or examinations that cannot be completed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R).
• Must meet applicable Georgia requirements for performing diagnostic radiography.
• At least 1 year of experience in radiologic technology.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Previous experience in outpatient, urgent care, occupational health, or diagnostic imaging settings is a plus.
• Strong patient-care, positioning, communication, and documentation skills.
• Dependable and able to work scheduled PRN shifts.
• Comfortable working independently in a smaller outpatient diagnostic setting.
