Stanford Health Care - ValleyCare seeks a Radiologic Technologist in San Jose, California, to perform diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries. Responsibilities include operating advanced imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and adhering to safety policies.
The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma, a two-year accredited program in Radiography, and preferably three years of experience. This role demands strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Under general supervision, this role performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing disease and injuries. Duties include operating computed and digital radiography equipment and advanced imaging software to obtain imaging of designated body areas. The radiologic technologist may perform or assist physicians in more complex examinations and in sterile procedures.
Occasional sitting; constant walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling; occasional climbing; frequent passive movements including pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, turning. Frequent hand use, repetitive motion, grasping, fine manipulation. Constant vision required. Varies lifting weights from 0‑10lbs to occasional lifting up to 40lbs. Exposure to biohazards such as blood‑borne pathogens and hazardous drugs. Work performed around equipment and machinery; occasional exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dust, gases, chemicals, and heights. Use of respirator and personal protective equipment may be required.
