The Radiologic Technologist (RT) collaborates with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants to examine and treat GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role involves performing technical procedures, applying ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, analyzing patient x-rays, and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the centers. The Technologist will support Medical Providers, Assistants, and patients through various patient care management, organizational, and communication tasks.

Hourly rate: $43-$55

Bonus eligible up to $600/month

Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma required
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required

Work Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, as required by state law

Essential Functions

• Perform x-ray services under the direction of the clinical provider, ensuring proper patient positioning and protection during the procedure.
• Assist in patient registration, including paperwork, insurance verification, and scheduling.
• Coordinate provider referrals and answer patient questions regarding their care.
• Prepare patients for examinations, including conducting interviews, recording medical history, and performing preliminary vital sign assessments.
• Conduct point-of-care testing as needed and relay information to providers.
• Maintain supplies and cleanliness of exam rooms and reception areas.
• Manage medical records, answer calls, handle correspondence, and perform administrative duties such as opening/closing the center and equipment maintenance.
