Here at Fairview, we are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging department at our Fairview Clinics Roselawn location in St. Paul, MN! This is a .98 FTE (98 hours per 2 weeks) position.
Current schedule (subject to change):
Week 1: Monday - Thursday, 7:30AM - 6PM
Week 2: Monday - Wednesday & Friday, 7:30AM - 5PM
The Clinic Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging in an ambulatory setting. Responsible for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for patients according to established standards of practice and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The clinic radiologic technologist supports all diagnostic imaging procedures offered in the care setting. Provides assist in the opening of the supplies/equipment for special procedure cases as well as responding to trauma activations and other emergent needs for imaging in an ambulatory care environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient care standards
- Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures
- Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
- Communicates pertinent data clearly to appropriate health care professionals
- Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
- Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
- Verify patient identification and documentation
- Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of service
- Completes quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
- Ensures patient data integrity
- Accurately maintains and updates patient records including; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
- Performs accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
- Participates as an active team member
- Orients and mentors new employees and students
- Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
- Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
- Cleans and maintains rooms, equipment and supplies
- Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.
- Actively contributes to a positive work environment
- Actively contributes to the productivity of the workgroup.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Correctly operates equipment according to standards, policies, and procedures
- Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly.
- Maintains a high level of competency
- Master’s new technology and equipment as it’s introduced into the facility
- Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required
- Demonstrates Commitment to Customers
- Seeks to understand different customer needs/desires.
- Takes action to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
- Actively assists to improve processes to meet customer needs.
- Suggests and acts on ideas to improve overall customer service.

Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- ARRT Certification/Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of experience as a technologist
- Advanced Imaging modality certification
