Stafingo is seeking experienced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists – X-Ray to support a busy Diagnostic Imaging Service within a hospital/healthcare environment. The successful candidates will perform routine and complex diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopic examinations, and portable X-ray procedures while providing safe, professional, patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine and complex diagnostic radiographic examinations, including:
- Chest
- Joints and extremities
- IVP
- Cholangiography
- Fluoroscopy procedures
- Perform portable X-ray examinations throughout the medical center.
- Position patients accurately and select appropriate technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Evaluate image quality and repeat examinations when necessary.
- Apply appropriate radiation protection practices for patients, staff, visitors, and yourself.
- Verify patient identification and pregnancy status prior to examinations.
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide appropriate assistance throughout the examination.
- Prepare examination rooms with required sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and equipment.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Enter and maintain accurate examination information in applicable healthcare/VA systems.
- Edit and verify images for correct positioning and patient identification before transmission to PACS.
- Document unusual events and communicate concerns to the appropriate radiologist or supervisory technologist.
- Follow established after-hours escalation procedures when radiologist or supervisory support is required.
- Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, safety, privacy, and organizational policies.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning while safely handling radiographic equipment.
Required Qualifications :
- ARRT (R) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a radiologist.
- Recent hospital-based X-ray experience, preferably within the last 6 months.
- Current state radiologic technologist license/certification where applicable, including Oregon and/or Washington requirements depending on assignment.
- Current BLS certification.
- NPI number or willingness to obtain one before submission.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hospital/medical-center environment.
- Strong patient-care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while following established clinical protocols and escalation procedures.
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as required.
Physical & Work Requirements :
The position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Assist with patient positioning and transfers.
- Safely handle and maneuver radiographic equipment.
- Lift and/or handle equipment and patient-care items weighing approximately 50–100 lbs, as required.
- Work throughout various areas of a medical center, including portable X-ray assignments.
- Respond appropriately in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Compliance & Credentialing :
Selected candidates must be able to successfully complete applicable healthcare and credentialing requirements, which may include:
- Background investigation
- TB screening
- Immunization/health screening
- Professional credential verification
- Certification and license verification

Ideal Candidate :
The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Radiologic Technologist with strong general radiography and fluoroscopy experience, recent hospital X-ray experience, excellent patient-care skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a high-volume medical-center environment.
