Job summary

An established staffing company is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays while maintaining patient safety. This long-term contract role offers a competitive salary of up to $2,840 weekly with benefits. Experience with imaging modalities and knowledge of radiology protocols are crucial. Certification from the ARRT and BLS is mandatory, as well as a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the field.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of continuous DRT experience within the past 3 years.
  • Able to function independently for various imaging sequences.
  • Certified and licensed by the State of California in radiography and fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including X-rays.
  • Ensure aseptic techniques during procedures.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role is critical in providing accurate imaging results that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients effectively. The Radiologic Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, and may also assist in the Emergency Room (ER) setting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-rays and, adhering to established protocols.
  • Ensure the application of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, imaging results, and equipment usage.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while following all safety protocols.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and best practices in medical imaging.
  • Assist in training new staff or students as needed.
Experience

Candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge:

2 years of DRT continuous experience within the past 3 years required

Able to function independently with time repetition for Ti, T2 and Proton density sequences, Time inversion for the 3 Tesla and Post processing specific to the 3 Tesla

Familiar with Philips, Philips R&F and Siemens R&f

  • Proficient understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
  • Experience with various imaging modalities including X-Ray,
  • Familiarity with working in an ER setting is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiology practices and protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient-centered care.
Requirements

-must be AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) General DRT, DRT are requiredto be certified and licensed by the State ofCalifornia in radiography and fluoroscopy. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Contractpersonnel must be familiar with all radiographic diagnostic fluoroscopy, surgeryprocedures, portable (including C-Arm), and routinegeneral diagnostic exams.PACS work experience is required. All contract personnel must have a minimum of two (2) years of current work experience that demonstrates the ability to work with minimal or no supervision. Current work experience is considered to be work performed withinthe last three (3) years.
