Allina Health in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in an inpatient setting under radiologist direction. You will identify patients, document procedures, and maintain a safe, efficient imaging area while delivering timely care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT registration and BLS. It is a part-time evening/night shift with every 4th weekend, 20 hours per week, and a $7,500 starting bonus for

• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration required; BLS certification as per department protocol.
• Experience 0–2 years in Radiology preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures under radiologist supervision.
• Identifies patient using two identifiers and documents procedure details.
• Maintains safe patient environment and communicates with patients during procedures.
• Verifies imaging has been transferred to the imaging storage system.

Provides timely and quality services to patients. Follows Imaging Department policies to maintain a safe, efficient and economical environment. Interacts with patients to welcome, explain and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure. **Principle Responsibilities*** Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines + Identifies patient with two identifiers. + Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure. + Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs. + Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area.* Performs procedures with high degree of accuracy + Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment. + Maintains work knowledge and competence. + Gathers all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images. + Verifies all imaging has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system.* Provides accurate clerical function + Uses Excellian (electronic medical record). + Understands the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System. + Ensures all documentation is complete post procedure.* Communicates with supervisor and team + Reports problems, issues or ideas. + Provides assistance, ideas and information to support the work of others.* Other duties as assigned.**Required Qualifications*** Vocational or Technical Training-Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program**Preferred Qualifications*** 0 to 2 years in Radiology**Licenses/Certifications*** Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required must be registered upon hire* Must meet one of the BLS requirements below: ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)**Physical Demands*** Medium Work\*:* Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (\*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently**Pay Range**### Pay Range: $35.48 to $50.31 per hour### The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
