Job summary

Relapath is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a direct-hire role in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. You will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, and document exam details in the hospital information system.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT registration, SC QA standards, and a willingness to mentor trainees. A 1+ year preferred experience, with BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician’s order.
  • Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding and supportive devices.
  • Obtain and document accurate patient medical history for radiologist’s interpretation.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Complete exams in hospital information system.
  • Maintain and clean imaging equipment.
  • May mentor/train students or new hires.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a direct-hire Radiologic Technologist role. This is an excellent opportunity offering benefits, perks, and coastal living in the greater Myrtle Beach, SC area!

Relocation assistance is available in the form of a sign-on bonus, with 50% paid at 30 days of employment.

What You Will Do
  • Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure while utilizing effective communication.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure.
  • Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist’s interpretation.
  • Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required.
  • Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician’s order.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures to include but not limited to fluoroscopy, C-arm in the Operating Room, digital and mobile imaging at applicable locations.
  • Select proper exposure factors of radiographic equipment for each examination.
  • Completion of exam in hospital information system.
  • Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment.
  • May also assist with mentoring and/or training students, new hires.
Education Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program Required
Experience Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year Radiologic Technology experience Preferred
Skills and Abilities
  • Understand and utilize ALARA concepts and critical thinking
  • Time management
  • Effective communication.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Radiography - American Registry Radiologic Technologist Required
  • Radiography - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Required
  • Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two year Required
