Job summary

A specialized medical institute in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist with experience in Cath Lab and Interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will assist in patient care, perform necessary imaging duties, and maintain compliance with safety protocols. This role also includes functions as a Surgical Scrub Technician. Strong candidates will have ARRT certification, a valid Arizona license, and a collaborative spirit, along with a commitment to patient confidentiality and professional development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of interventional radiology and cardiac Cath lab procedures.
• Possess current ARRT certification and Arizona Radiologic Technologist License.
• Experience or willingness to scrub interventional or vascular cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide fluoroscopic guidance during vascular interventions.
• Assist physicians during procedures as a Surgical Scrub Technician.
• Monitor and document patient vitals throughout procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job description

Western Vascular Institute is seeking a highly qualifiedRadiologic Technologist with a Cath Lab and Interventional focusto join our team of skilled vascular professionals. This role also functions as aSurgical Scrub Technicianwithin our in-office angio-suite. Candidates withInterventional Radiology and/or Cardiac Cath Lab experienceare strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient-focused, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced procedural environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab procedures
• Fluoroscopic imaging and radiation safety
• Portable C-arm units
• Sterile technique and surgical scrubbing
• Patient monitoring and procedural support

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide fluoroscopic guidance to physicians during endovascular and peripheral vascular interventions.
• Scrub and assist physicians during interventional and cath lab procedures.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Monitor and document patient vitals throughout procedures.
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms according to sterile and safety protocols.
• Maintain and track procedural supplies and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards within the in-office angio-suite.

Additional Duties

• Proper disposal of contaminated and biohazard materials.
• Thorough cleaning and sanitization of the operating and procedure suites.
• Accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Other duties as assigned to support patient care and clinic operations.

Certification & Education Requirements

• Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • CurrentARRT certification
  • CurrentArizona Radiologic Technologist License(or ability to obtain)
  • CurrentACLS & BLS certification
• Preferred
  • ARRT Advanced Certification inCardiac-Interventional (CI)orVascular-Interventional (VI)
  • Prior Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Vascular Imaging experience
  • Experience scrubbing interventional or vascular cases
