Job summary

United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC) seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform diagnostic imaging for vascular procedures in Phoenix. You will assist physicians during fluoroscopy and ensure patient safety and comfort.

The role requires AMA approved radiologic technology training, BLS, and RIS/PACS familiarity, with HIPAA compliance and reliable attendance. Join UVVC to contribute to a patient-centered team delivering high-quality vascular care.

Qualifications

  • Completion of radiologic technology training from an AMA approved school.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiology preferred.
  • Must meet continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Peripheral Vascular Lab preferred.
  • Understand HIPAA, State and ACR Accreditation guidelines.
  • Proficient in RIS and PACS to manage patient imaging from registration to Radiologist.
  • Dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic patient imaging using radiology equipment.
  • Assist and perform special procedures using Fluoroscopy units.
  • Assist Physician during Fluoroscopy procedures using sterile technique.
  • Address patient needs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain supplies for department operation.
  • Participate in continuing education and in-service programs to maintain knowledge of exams using C-arm and other modalities.
  • Schedule in the Vascular Lab Information System.
  • Able to scrub in and assist the Physician.
  • Practice Radiation Safety Standards.
  • Demonstrate UVVC core values: Understanding, Nurturing, Ingenuity, Trust, Excellence, Diversity.
  • Demonstrate conduct in line with UVVC Standards of Conduct as outlined in our employee handbook.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of PHI per HIPAA and UVVC policies.

The Radiologic Technologist (Radiology Tech) operates the radiology equipment (C-arm) and all other equipment associated with the performance of vascular procedures and performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients for vascular procedures.

  • Perform diagnostic patient imaging using radiology equipment.
  • Assist and perform special procedures that are performed utilizing the Fluoroscopy units.
  • Assist Physician during Fluoroscopy procedures utilizing sterile technique to accomplish the procedure without contaminating the work area.
  • Address the needs of the patients in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all supplies necessary for the proper operation of the department.
  • Participate in continuing education and in-service programs to maintain adequate knowledge of all exams performed using a C arm and any other applicable modality you qualify for.
  • Ability to perform routine scheduling in the Vascular Lab Information System.
  • Able to scrub in and assist the Physician.
  • Practice Radiation Safety Standards.
