Job summary

El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team across Mountain View, Cupertino, San Jose and Los Gatos. This floating role requires strong patient care, precise positioning, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

You will operate conventional, fluoroscopic, and portable x-ray equipment, support diagnostic procedures, and maintain complete documentation. California CRT and ARRT licenses, BLS, and PACS/RIS/EMR experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate in science or higher
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist License (R)(CRT) as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Current Radiology Licensure with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist – (R)ARRT
  • BLS certification
  • Two (2) years of experience in diagnostic x-ray recommended
  • Two (2) years of experience working with an EMR
  • Experience working with PACS and RIS system
  • Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPM
  • Strong verbal and written communications, and active listening skills
  • Solid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize task in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflow
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist others

Responsibilities

  • Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures (may include fluoroscopic studies)
  • Provides excellent patient care practices by clearly explaining procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
  • Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician
  • Determines appropriate technique and exposure factors for optimal radiologic imaging for various body habitus and body parts while utilizing ALARA
  • Adjusts exposure factors to provide quality images for the radiologist or attending physician with proper radiographic details
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and self
  • Performs and documents daily equipment calibration and function
  • Maintains all the required documents and credentials for CA State and Federal regulations
  • If the manager is not available, the techs will need to reach out to Clinical Engineering to have a repair scheduled
  • Immediately informs management and the appropriate engineering department of equipment/maintenance failures
  • Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control
  • Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed
  • Most be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, providers, and radiologists
  • Models WeCare principles
  • Complete special projects as assigned to meet department and company goals
  • Document follow-up information on the system to generate appropriate letters to members and providers.
  • Contributes to the overall patient experience and satisfaction
  • Participates in performance improvement activities
  • Adheres to HR, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies, and attendance requirements
  • Completes training modules
  • Performs work in accordance with established schedules, policies, and procedures

El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking a talented Radiologic Technologist to join our growing healthcare team!

Pay: $50.00-$60.98/ hour

Location: Mountain View, Cupertino, San Jose and Los Gatos (Floating between clinics as needed)

Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends

A Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) is a multimodality technologist who, under general supervision, will utilize high-frequency electromagnetic radiation (x-ray) to perform radiographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. This includes operating conventional, fluoroscopic, or portable radiology equipment in order to obtain radiographs of designated body areas. May perform or assist physicians with more complex examinations by mixing, preparing, and administering contrast media, and assisting with sterile procedures.

Essential Functions
  • Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures (may include fluoroscopic studies)
  • Provides excellent patient care practices by clearly explaining procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
