Job summary

Requires California CRT license, ARRT certification, 2 years of X-ray and EMR experience; EPIC EMR familiarity preferred. Day shift, full-time; floating between sites as needed to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in radiologic technology.
  • Current California CRT license and ARRT certification.
  • Minimum two years of diagnostic x-ray experience.
  • Experience with EMR systems (EPIC preferred).
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS and image quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including fluoroscopic studies.
  • Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort.
  • Position patients and adjust exposure factors using ALARA.
  • Maintain documentation and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and cross-functional teams.

With a commitment to teamwork and quality, together we can offer exceptional care to our patients.A Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) is a multimodality technologist who, under general supervision, will utilize high-frequency electromagnetic radiation (x-ray) to perform radiographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. This includes operating conventional, fluoroscopic, or portable radiology equipment in order to obtain radiographs of designated body areas. May perform or assist physicians with more complex examinations by mixing, preparing, and administering contrast media, and assisting with sterile procedures.Essential Functions:Patient CarePerforms specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures (may include fluoroscopic studies)Provides excellent patient care practices by clearly explaining procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperationPrepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging proceduresAdjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physicianDetermines appropriate technique and exposure factors for optimal radiologic imaging for various body habitus and body parts while utilizing As Low as Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). This includes variations in age, height, weight, and anatomyAdjusts exposure factors to provide quality images for the radiologist or attending physician with proper radiographic details, density, and anatomical accuracyPractices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and selfOther Duties as AssignedPerforms and documents daily equipment calibration and function.Maintains all the required documents and credentials for CA State and Federal regulations. If the manager is not available, the techs will need to reach out to Clinical Engineering to have a repair scheduledImmediately informs management and the appropriate engineering department of equipment/maintenance failuresProcesses images and reviews for proper identification and quality controlCompletes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performedMost be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, providers, and radiologistsModels WeCare principlesComplete special projects as assigned to meet department and company goalsDocument follow-up information on the system to generate appropriate letters to members and providers.Contributes to the overall patient experience and satisfactionParticipates in performance improvement activitiesAdheres to HR, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies, and attendance requirementsCompletes training modulesPerforms work in accordance with established schedules, policies, and proceduresMinimum Requirements :Associate in science or higherCurrent California Certified Radiologic Technologist License (R)(CRT) as a Radiologic TechnologistCurrent Radiology Licensure with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist – (R)ARRTBLS certificationTwo (2) years of experience in diagnostic x-ray recommendedTwo (2) years of experience working with an EMRExperience working with PACS and RIS systemAbility to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPMStrong verbal and written communications, and active listening skillsSolid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, and efficient mannerAbility to perform basic mathExcellent attention to detailAbility to effectively organize and prioritize task in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflowAbility to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist othersPreferred:2 years of EPIC EMR experienceLocation: Silicon Valley Medical Development · Silicon Valley Medical Development - Willow GlenSchedule: Full Time, Days, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
