Job summary

American Advanced Management, Inc. in Stockton, CA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a part-time union position.

Under supervision of a Radiologist, you will operate X-ray equipment, prepare rooms, process images with CR and PACS, and assist with both invasive and non-invasive procedures. You will ensure safety, maintain stock, transport patients, and participate in the Respiratory Protection Program as required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Radiologic Health Sciences of California program.
  • California State CRT license and State Fluoroscopy Permit.
  • Current BLS Certification through AHA required,
  • ARRT license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare room, equipment, and materials for patients.
  • Clean and disinfect X-ray equipment.
  • Prepare barium and other contrast medium for X-rays.
  • Prepare patients for x-ray exam; explain procedures, transfer patients to table, position the patient and assist patient at end of procedures.
  • Assist the Radiologist with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  • Follow prescribed techniques in administering x-ray radiation to patients.
  • Adhere to age specific policy for quality of x-ray radiation to patients.
  • Process images in CR and PACS.
  • Observe patient and machine during procedure and report unusual occurrences to Radiologist and nurse.
  • Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Takes call when requested.

Salary Range: $49.05 - $59.74 Hourly

Position Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: under the supervision of the Radiologist, the technologist is responsible for administering x-rays to patients. Operates X-ray equipment, processes images in computerized radiology(CR) and Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), prepares examination room and patient for procedure. Stocks supplies and materials for the department. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations, also be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures. Also, must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator. This is a union position. See Essential Job Functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. 1. Prepares room, equipment, materials as needed for patients.

  10. 10. Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties. Takes mobile unit to patient’s room, ER or the OR.
  11. 11. Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  12. 12. Takes call when requested.
Qualifications

QualificationsEducation:

Completion of Radiologic Health Sciences of California program

Experience:

Preferred but not required.

Licenses/Certificates:

California State CRT license and State Fluoroscopy Permit

Current BLS Certification through AHA required,

ARRT license preferred.
