Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging studies across X-ray, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and MRI modalities, while delivering a positive patient experience. The Radiologic Technologist will prepare equipment, position patients, and ensure safety and image quality.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, WA licensure on hire, ARRT registration, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
• Licensed as Medical Radiographer in Washington upon hire.
• ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
• CPR/BLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate radiology equipment per physician orders and protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and respond to questions.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation with proper positioning and shielding.
• Ensure consistent results through proper technique and positioning.
• Clean equipment after each use.
• Deliver patient care for all age groups during radiologic exams or special procedures.

Job Summary

Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to diagnose and manage patient conditions. This role involves performing imaging examinations such as X‑rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while providing a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

Responsibilities

In addition to the above, the Rad Tech will be responsible for:

• Prepare and operate radiology equipment for the correct size, depth, and detail of requested exposure area based on physician orders and department protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and respond to questions.
• Use equipment and accessories to comfort patients and protect them, oneself, and others from unnecessary radiation.
• Ensure consistent results through proper technique and patient positioning.
• Clean equipment after each use.
• Deliver patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams or special procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience.
• Medical Radiographer in Washington, upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Work experience involving current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department.

Pay Range

$36.94 – $61.50 per hour
