Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images and support Radiologists in timely diagnoses. You will perform X-rays, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and MRI imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will explain procedures, position patients, and maintain equipment readiness in a fast-paced radiology department serving diverse patients in the Puget Sound region.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) - AHA, upon hire.
• One year of related work experience or equivalent training, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/operate radiology equipment for requested exposure areas per physician orders and protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and respond to questions.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation using proper techniques.
• Deliver patient care across all ages during radiologic exams and procedures.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Prepares/operates radiology equipment for the correct size, depth and detail of a requested exposure area, based on physicians’ orders and in adherence to department protocols.
• Explains procedures to patients and responds to questions.
• Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to comfort and protect the patient, self and others from unnecessary radiation.
• Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to ensure that results are consistent.
• Cleans equipment after each use.
• Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams/procedures and/or special procedures.

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities required, upon hire and
• Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support (through AHA) - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

• Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department
