Job description

Join us and be one of the first to specialize in a groundbreaking compression-free mammography technology! We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist eager to learn and advance their expertise in breast imaging.

In this role, you will operate the Koning Breast CT machine within our mobile unit , performing advanced mammographic imaging procedures. You will work closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to produce high-quality breast tissue images, ensuring accurate diagnoses while prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

No prior experience with this technology? No problem! We will train you. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Travel : This position will be based in our mobile imaging unit, which operates across Southern California, including Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire. The role requires up to 75% local same-day travel.

Radiologic Technologist Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate specialized equipment, obtaining images that help physicians detect breast cancer and other breast diseases in their earliest stages.
  • Provide an overview of the entire process to the patient from patient prep, imaging and result turn-around time, including addressing any patient’s anxiety if needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational troubleshooting and real-time problem resolution.
  • Evaluate the images to ensure that they contain proper identification and labeling and are of diagnostic quality.
  • Analyzing images to assess quality, identifying any abnormalities, and making necessary adjustments for optimal imaging
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting mammography equipment, performing regular quality control checks, and promptly reporting any malfunctions
  • Communicate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals regarding patient findings
  • Maintain and clean mammography equipment and report any technical issues to appropriate personnel
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in imaging technology and techniques.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of the procedure room by following all infection control procedures.
  • Have clear understanding of safety protocols related to radiation exposure and management.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety protocols, healthcare regulations, and quality assurance standards for radiology services and healthcare services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, FDA, state-specific radiology standards, and other healthcare related requirements.
  • Assists in coordinating and scheduling of events, health screenings, and visits for the mobile units throughout the year to serve partner communities.

Requirements :

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Radiology or related field
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Radiography or Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technologists (CTNM) Certification is required
  • Mammography certification preferred or must be obtained within 3 months.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to act as tier 1-2 tech support

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic & Therapeutic (California) Preferred
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) Preferred
