Job summary

Kootenai Health in Idaho is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment in support of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The role requires knowledge of radiology concepts and the ability to prepare and administer materials as appropriate, with reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position reports to the Imaging Supervisor and requires regular attendance, safety awareness, and the ability to work with flexibility on shifts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Has knowledge of radiology concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Able to prepare and administer materials per procedure requirements.
  • Demonstrates reliability and professional conduct in a clinical setting.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Reports to Imaging Supervisor.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned.

Job description

  • Schedule/Shift/Hours PRN - (As Needed) - Variable

Under general supervision, operates x-ray equipment in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services.

Responsibilities
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Radiology field
  • May prepare and administer various chemical mixtures as appropriate to the nature of the procedure being carried out
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Reports to Imaging Supervisor
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
  • Current 2nd year student in an accredited school of radiography or a new graduate of Radiologic Technology Program
  • Must successfully graduate from an accredited school and complete the A.R.R.T. registry within 12 months from the date of hire
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
  • Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
  • Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
