Job summary

OrthoNY is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology team. In this role you will document patient histories, prepare patients for procedures, and operate imaging equipment to support high-quality patient care.

Monday through Friday shifts with no evenings, weekends, or holidays are offered, with opportunities for professional development. Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, an unrestricted NYS license, ARRT certification, and 1–2 years

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school in radiologic technology.
• Unrestricted NYS Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT Certification.
• 1–2 years radiologic technology experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• CPR/BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient history with pertinent condition and limitations.
• Prepare patient for procedure with instruction and education.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure successful completion of the procedure.
• Perform Medical Assistant duties when required (cast removal, stitches and dressing changes).
• Assist physician in patient care as requested.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Document an appropriate patient history containing pertinent patient information regarding their condition and including patient limitations;
• Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education;
• Select and operate equipment; recognize essential condition for successful completion of procedure;
• Perform Medical Assistant duties when required such as cast removal, stitches and staple removal, dressing changes and other patient needs;
• Assisting physician in patient care as requested;
• Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of graduation from an accredited school in radiologic technology;
• Unrestricted NYS Radiologic Technologist license in NYS;
• ARRT Certification;
• 1- 2 years of Radiologic Technology experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• CPR/BLS preferred
