Job summary

Rock Health is seeking a Radiology X-Ray Tech to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation. The role involves operating imaging equipment, preparing exam rooms, and supporting Medical Assistant duties in a walk-in healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include patient greeting, vital signs documentation, transfers under supervision, and adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • TN State X-Ray License.
  • ARRT Certification preferred.
  • Prior Medical Assistant experience is advantageous.

  • Maintain licensure and certifications required for radiology practice.

Role Overview

The Radiology X-Ray Tech performs diagnostic imaging procedures, including body mechanics and patient movement, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, developing films, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and communicate with patients effectively, providing guidance throughout their visit
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and pertinent patient information
  • Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision
  • Prepare patients for radiologic exams, ensuring safety protocols and radiation protection
  • Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment, report malfunctions
  • Maintain and enhance diagnostic imaging skills and certifications
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient visits and procedures

  • Full-time positions involve rotating 36-40 hour weeks with 12-hour shifts and every-other weekend
  • Per diem roles are scheduled as needed
