Job summary

Kaleida Health's BGMC Radiology - Diagnostic department seeks a part-time Radiology Technologist to provide caring patient preparation and accurate positioning for high-quality diagnostic images using ionizing radiation.

Required ARRT certification and NYS IV contrast credentials, with BLS and ARRT current status. Onsite duties at Buffalo General Medical Center, with bi-weekly pay and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• AAS or ARRT Certification required; ARRT R current within 90 days.
• NYS Certification for IV Contrast Admin within 90 Days for BGMC Radiology Joint & Spine.
• ARRT-R must be current; Rad Tech Limited Permit required on hire/transfer.
• BLS required within 90 days from hire or transfer.

Job Description

To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing ionizing radiation.

Education And Credentials

AAS - Associate of Applied Science - Radiologic Technology or graduate of approved ARRT Certification program required. 1 Am Reg Of Rad Tech (ARRT R) within 90 Days required. Radiology Technologist within 90 Days required. NYS Cert For IV Contrast Admin within 90 Days required for BGMC Radiology Joint & Spine only. ARRT - R must be current and maintained for any employees hired/transferred effective 6/12/12. Rad Tech Limited Permit is required upon hire/transfer. Basic Life Support (BLS) 90 days from hire or transfer required. Existing Imaging Technologists as of 11/10/2020 will have until 8/31/2021 to obtain their BLS.

Experience

1 year of experience in Rad Tech position preferred.
