MyMichigan Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Alma, Michigan. This role involves applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. You'll be responsible for performing various imaging tasks with precision, while ensuring patient safety at all times.
The ideal candidate must hold an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT certification within a year. You will also provide excellent patient care and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
The position may require physical endurance and exceptional communication skills as you interact with a diverse patient population.
This position accurately applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, including skills required in performing a variety of technical procedures, resulting in the highest quality diagnostic radiograph, with the least amount of radiation exposure to the patient. This position takes into consideration all specific age groups as well as known disease.
Associates Degree
Equivalent Experience: Degree in Healthcare Related Field. Successful completion of an ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology is required. One (1) year clinical experience is preferred. Knowledge of Radiology Information System (RIS) and HIS preferred.
Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Provides for the age specific needs of the population served according to department standards and policies/procedures as evidenced by observation, documentation and peer feedback for the following: Neonate/Infant, Toddler, Child, Adolescent, Adult and Later Adult.
Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training must also be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.

Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.
Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
Physical Demand Level: Light. Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 11-20 lbs., frequently (34-66% of the workday) 10 lbs. and or Walk/Stand/Push/Pull of Arm/Leg controls.
